The Bill Santucci Memorial Golf Tournametn will take place Friday, Sept. 17 at Sierra View Country Club in Roseville.

Proceeds from the tournament will be used for scholarships to help graduating Roseville High School District seniors and students at Sierra College. Last year the event raised over $15,000 and provided 22 scholarships to deserving South Placer students.

The four-person scramble tournament begins at 10 a.m. with registration, followed by lunch at 11 a.m. and a noon shotgun start. Cost is $125 per person and includes range balls, barbecue lunch, awards, raffle prizes and appetizers.

Kings dance team auditions Sunday

The Sacramento Kings will host auditions for the 2010-11 Kings Dance Team on Sunday at the California State Fair at Cal Expo.

Auditions are open to the public and will take place on the Cal Expo Main Stage. Registration will begin at 4 p.m. and auditions will begin at 5. All candidates are encouraged to visit Kings.com for additional information.

Golf camp at The Ridge run through July

Placer High girls golf coach Carol French will conduct a golf camp this month at The Ridge Golf Course. The four-day camp will run July 26-29 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The camp costs $75 and will include three days of full swing and short-game instruction followed by a day of on-course play. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome and equipment will be provided if needed. Space is limited to the first 24 students per session.

Summer Sizzler softball tourney next month

The Mother Lode softball club will host the Summer Sizzler XII tournament Aug. 14-15 at Regional Park in Auburn.
