Meredith Loosse joins staff at Woodcreek Golf Club
Meredith Loosse, a PGA and LPGA teaching professional with considerable credentials, has recently joined the staff at Woodcreek Golf Club in Roseville.
Loosse has a diverse career as a golf professional and has been teaching the game for the past 21 years. At Woodcreek, she will focus on creating new programs for adults, support an already strong junior program, help create player development leagues, and assist in the golf shop merchandising.
“Meredith is a great addition to the staff at Woodcreek,” said Rob Frederick, Director of Golf at Woodcreek. “She has a tremendous background as an instructor and has a fantastic overall knowledge and expertise regarding all facets of the golf business. We’re very excited about Meredith joining the Woodcreek team.”
Following a playing career at the University of Kentucky and a short time on the professional mini tour circuit, Loosse joined the staff at the Palo Alto Golf Club in 1992. A native of Cupertino, she eventually moved to the East Coast and spent 14 years in the Charlottesville, VA area.
Loosse was the Associate Professional for nine years at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville. In 2012, she became the Director of the Robins Junior Programs in Midlothian, VA. She directed a golf instruction program that served more than 3,000 children per season. Loosse also started “Get Golf Ready” programs in the spring and fall for adults. Before Loosse moved to Northern California she was the Head Professional at Glenmore Country Club.
Loosse is one of only 192 women nationally with both a PGA and LPGA credential. In 2014, she was honored as one of the top 50 US KIDS golf instructors in the U.S. She has received youth golf development awards by both the PGA and LPGA.
“I’ve always had a great passion for teaching golf,” Loosse said. “I really enjoy coaching and mentoring players on not just how to golf, but also pointing out the many life lessons that golf teaches us. Woodcreek Golf Club has established a terrific teaching program. I’m excited about joining the staff and working with people of all ages in the Roseville community and beyond.”
