Everett carries Lincoln’s banner at State Meet
Lincoln High’s Destiny Everett capped her brilliant career as a cross-country runner by placing 32nd at the CIF State Meet at Woodward Park in Fresno Saturday. The senior ran as an independent after qualifying at the section meet.
Going up against the best Division II high school competition California has to offer, Everett posted a time of 18:34.0 over the 5,000-meter course. She trailed the winning time by just 72 seconds and the overall winning time by 76 seconds.
Everett is also an outstanding track star for the Fighting Zebras and could set even more records this spring.
